Hello, current and former clients!
Many apologies for the email that went out earlier with the broken link. I was trying to be all fancy and up my technology game, and well…it didn’t work out this time. I am grateful for the learning opportunity and your grace. What I wanted to share was:
For those who’ve been with me for a while, I usually do an end of year product as a gift to remind you amazing women that you are worthy and deserving of time and space to slow down.
And I’m going to let you in on a bit of a secret:
For the last few years, I have given myself permission to take as much of the month of December off as possible. And my intention is always to remove things from my life that aren’t serving me and welcome in the spirit of the season. To truly savor the knowledge of the birth of our Savior.
What does this look like?
Stopping all proactive work activities – no active marketing or lead generation
Putting up an out-of-office letting potential new collaboration opportunities and clients know that I am on pause and will respond after the New Year
Taking one full day of solitude to nourish my body, spend time in nature, moving my body, and use the free guides below to really review my year and celebrate all of my hard work. (Scroll below to snag your copy! I have one for US clients (8.5” x 11”) and one for UK clients (A4))
Meditate and ask God what my word for 2023 is and ask what He wants me to accomplish in the next year
Making a list of the people I want to connect with most during the holidays, and coming up with a plan to increase engagement with them
Making a list of individuals and activities that drain me, and coming up with a plan to set boundaries to protect my energy and love them from afar
Sitting down with my husband after our Thanksgiving holiday to celebrate our family wins for the year
We also assess our financial plan for the past year and celebrate our diligence in being the best stewards we possibly could be for the resources God has given us. We give ourselves permission to imagine our wildest family goals and dreams, and discuss how we can arrive to those places
We discuss our priorities for the holiday together, and come up with plans on how to decline other invites with gratitude and grace
Reading actual books. The ones where you have to physically flip the page. (I’m an avid audiobook person the rest of the year.) Curled up on a couch. With tea and a cozy blanket. I feel like the attached picture. It is decadent
If this sounds like something you need, I am offering two group workshops where we can celebrate your year, talk through what holiday structures and events aren’t serving you, burn them to the ground, and build new ones that bring you life. Come get ideas from others on what sounds absolutely delicious and freeing as we close out 2022. Most importantly, give yourself permission to be selfish so that you can start 2023 with the energy and joy you know you are worthy of, so you can pour into your community from a cup that is overflowing.
The events are completely free, and you have two options to choose from:
Nov 29, 2022 at 7-8:30 pm EST:
Nov 29, 2022 at 7-8:30 pm GMT (2-3:30 pm EST):
If you can’t make it to either but would like to participate, shoot me a note. We can probably team up to offer a third option. Feel free to forward the tool to whomever you like.
I am so incredibly grateful for another year in service to each of you. Walking alongside you as you courageously face your fears is the privilege of my life, and I am honored to know each of you. Thank you for inspiring me!
Hope to see you there!
Joyfully,
Alani
